What is a Spirit? The Final Frontier

We have known for some time that what we see with our eyes is not all there is in our world. There is so much more. Our physical reality, although vast by any stretch of measurement and imagination, still seems to be limited. Our physical world has much yet to be discovered. But juxtaposed to our physical reality are spirit realities. We have used the word “spirit” in so many ways to describe so many things. An apparition, a feeling, an unseen force, a hunch, etc., all have been used as “spirit.” In each of us, our spirit is defined as the nonphysical part of a person, the pneuma, inner self, or inner being.

Each morning, we face our physical appearance in the mirror. We then embark on our daily routine, ensuring we’re fresh, clean, and presentable, all in the pursuit of ‘looking good.’ Regrettably, many of us overlook that this routine, while essential for hygiene, neglects a crucial reality- the ‘inner being’ that also requires our attention.

Outer space continues to be an exciting adventure and has been for decades. But now is the time to discover the active, engaging, and limitless world of “spirit.” I call it the final frontier.

book unmet needs

Unmet Needs

What causes respectable people to display extramarital behaviors that shock us to the core? Is it a weakness in their character or something more profound? Could it be a lapse of their moral compass or the secret penchant for the excitement of immediate gratification? Some would say ‘it’s just plain old lust.”

Those reasons may all be valid. However, in Al Gee’s 40 plus years of ministry, he has discovered another reason, namely “UNMET NEEDS.” Seldom discussed but evident in far too many lives, this has been found to be the culprit of ongoing silent frustration.

This book provides a brief narrative of some privately shared stories of how people handled or mishandled this deficit. Some survived, others fell prey to public scorn and ridicule. There are even some accounts in the Bible that address this very issue. That begs the question, Is God interested at all in satisfying our secret unmet needs. Most assuredly! However, how He fulfills the need may be disturbing. From years of study, counseling, and personal experience, the author made a startling discovery: some relationships that we deem entirely inappropriate God does not. He does not shy away from unsavory relationships. Surprisingly, at times He is the very one who intentionally designs them.

book seismic shifts

Seismic Shifts: When God Has Moved On

Frustrated with the longtime lack of measurable results I was experiencing in the years of my Pentecostal/Apostolic denominational involvement I asked my friend, a noted pastor, and evangelist…Why, even after our strict conduct, our devotion to fasting and praying and disciplining ourselves to the “sanctified lifestyle” as much as we could, why did we still have a noticeable lack in the things of God. The answer he gave me left me upended but ultimately renovated my thinking. He said, “It’s because we are living where God was.” What did he mean? He meant that with all of our efforts to please the Lord with correct behaviors we had merely pacified our sense of duty to scriptural obligations.

Conversely, at the same time, we missed critical upgrades and updates of revelation necessary to keep us fresh and current with God, who displays a proclivity for shifts and changes. In other words, God had shifted, not in integrity, but methods and revelations, and we had failed to catch those critical shifts. Sadly, God had moved on, and as dedicated and devoted as we were in our approach to God, we had been left behind. That unflattering retort launched me into seeking out and identifying some outdated misconceptions that have kept us lagging behind for years. I also discovered some fresh revelations that would bring us “current” with God. It’s upsetting to admit that we, God’s people, camped around the statement in Hosea, “I am the Lord I change not.” Yet we failed to remember that He also stated: “I will do a new thing”.

book healing today

Healing Today: Healing Scriptures and Confessions for Every Day

Some healing manifests immediately as hands are laid, and the prayer of faith is prayed. On the other hand, more often, there are times when healing does not manifest right away. Or, what is even more disturbing is, after an individual experiences a healing miracle, the infirmity later returns. That is absolutely not the time to doubt, but to fight the good fight of faith! All the promises of God are sure, but since we have an enemy determined through doubt to rob us of our right to be healed, we must fight to receive them. This resource was designed to aid in giving readers the information and inspiration needed to access healing, deliverance, and restoration.

Dear Believer: Emails from God

“KEEP GOING!” Those were often the only two words spoken to me by the Lord in the many trying times of my life. Truth be told, I didn’t enjoy hearing that same instruction so many times. However, the implication from my loving Father’s brief directive was that something good was just up ahead. Furthermore, I would surely miss it if I gave up now. In spite of my many pitiable protestations, no speedy deliverance ensued and no change of wording. His words to me were the same…“Keep Going!” Fortunately, as I obediently pressed on, slowly and deliberately a delightful pattern began to emerge. It was the pattern of the marathon runner. Exactly like the helpers of a marathon runner, as I ran the long course, vital liquids and nutrition were handed to me to continue to complete the course. In the same manner time and again the Lord favored me with inspiring revelations and exciting kingdom concepts. “Dear Believer” is a compilation of some vital nutritional nourishment and satiating thirst quenchers he handed me along the long run to the finish line. Enjoy!
